"Today is the one week anniversary of INNW. And its also been just over a week since we soft launched the INCUBUS World Headquarters. The new record is being mastered today which means that all the planning that surrounds the release of a new record is in motion. As some of you have probably noticed if you've spent any time on the site we've been working on the HQ TV which is where we envision doing a whole slew of video webcast programming ideas that will put you fans in touch with Incubus in ways you would not have imagined. Its a work in process but once we get it right we are going to have some fun. For those of you who want to know when the record is going to be on the radio, on the web, and in your local stores that info will become available shortly. Stay tuned for details. For those of you who are waiting to see Incubus play live in your area check back frequently for updates. We've just about finished putting together the first bit of touring which will start in the Pacific Rim. We are looking forward to returning to that part of the world. Its been a while. Twitter FAKE do Brandon

Aos que usam twitter e seguem o perfil brndnboyd saibam que é um perfil fake. Como o próprio Brandon já disse dezenas de vezes, ele não tem twitter, talvez um dia possa vir a ter. Ele acabou de colocar um post em sua página do facebook reforçando isso, que o usuário é um impostor, não entende o fascínio que algumas pessoas tem em fingir ser outra. E aproveitou a deixa para indicar o twitter da loja de sua namorada para quem quiser seguir...
E claro, a boa nova que o Steve Rennie já havia nos dito: o álbum está pronto!






Hello boys and girls. A birdie told me I was Tweeting again and wouldn't ya know it, it's not actually me! I may never understand the allure of pretending to be someone else. But who am I to wonder? I am still not on Twitter. brndnboyd on Twitter is an impostore! An Imposter! A fake! A sham! A Charlatan! A Ffffffffffaker! Ahhhh, I feel better.
Please don't be deterred from following this person on the ol' Twits-cadiddle, but if he or she has any intergrity at all they would at least let me have their name on Twitter so I could make a profile and see what it's like to play Make Believe.
Oh yeah, I think we just finished our album as well. 
I may Tweet one day... I just wish they had a cooler sounding name for it. Like 'Brawn-ing'. Or, 'Husking'. Or, 'Dune-ing'. I don't know. 'Tweeting' sounds like I am sitting on a delicate branch in a tiny tree whistling Disney songs. Ok, fine. That sounds fun too...

CD #6 - Atualizações

Nada melhor do que ter o empresário mais dedicado do mundo como é o Steve Rennie do Incubus! Hoje tivemos novidades ótimas sobre o novo CD da banda lá no Incubus World Headquarter, por enquanto chamado de #06.

Finalmente as músicas estão na mão da gravadora da banda, a Sony, e agora é o tempo de sentar e esperar a aprovação deles. De acordo com Ren, o novo álbum terá algo em torno de 10 a 11 músicas e mais 5 canções bonus, que provavelmente serão lançadas como extras em albuns especiais.

O mais legal de tudo foi ver a banda querendo saber qual o formato do álbum que nós fãs gostaríamos de ter acesso. Ficou claro que tudo será lançado em versão digital (a $9,99 dólares o álbum) por conta da dinâmica do mercado hoje, mas também foi unânime o pedido de uma edição especial em vinil. Ren comentou como é quase inviável financeiramente lançar algo em versão física (CD/DVD/Vinil) na América do Sul, mas que ia conversar com o marketing da Sony para preparar algo para nós.

E você, em que formato gostaria de ter o novo álbum do Incubus? Quanto pagaria?

We have the best band manager of all! Steve Rennie brought news about new Incubus album #06. Finally Sony had put their hands on the material and now is all about patience for their approval.

The new album will be released certainly in digital format (mp3, iTunes Store etc.), will have 10-11 songs and will cost around $9.99 US dolars. The great news is that the fans were asked about their favourite format and, for Ren's surprise, Vinyl disc was a huge catch on the answers.

Even knowing the obstacles of releasing an American band in South America (costs, taxes and low sellings), he said he was going to talk to Sony's marketing department to see what he could do.

That's a great way to start and album, listening to the fans needs, letting us being a part of the process.

O cd está pronto!

Steve acabou de deixar um post dizendo que o álbum número 6 esta 'na lata' ou melhor, no envelope.


Ontem ele pegou a cópia 7 do álbum no Henson Studios, até então ele só tinha ouvido as músicas separadamente, fora de ordem e  elas ainda estavam sendo trabalhadas. Ontem de noite ele ouviu o álbum inteiro em sequência e tudo que pode dizer é 'WOW'. Como já havia dito, não há nada parecido com isso nos álbuns anteriores. E terminou falando: "Pessoal, fiquem atentos a festa está pra começar. Mal podemos esperar para vocês ouvirem". 


Well its finally happened. Album #6 is in the can. Or should I say in the envelope. I picked up my copy (Copy #7) of the record last night at Henson Studios. Up until last night I'd only heard individual songs as they were being worked on, never final mixes, and never in sequence. Last night I heard the whole album and all I can say is "WOW". Like previous records it is nothing like its predecessors. Quintessential Incubus, but like no Incubus record before it. Stay tuned folks the party is about to start. Parceria do Brandon com a Hurley

Brandon já conhecido por seus trabalhos filantrópicos, firmou mais uma parceria. Dessa vez foi com a marca de roupas de surf Hurley. Ele criou alguns desenhos que irão virar uma linha de camisetas (clique para ver) que serão vendidas no site da Hurley em abril. Parte desse lucro será destinado ao projeto da ong H.O.P.E (Helping Other People Everywhere) que visa envolver artistas a dar apoio a projetos sociais promovendo a paz pelo mundo. O lançamento da coleção será dia 2 de abril e Brandon estará lá pintando um mural. O evento será aberto ao público. Pergunta Maluca do Steve....

Steve acabou de postar a seguinte pergunta em seu facebook:

"Acabei de voltar da minha caminhada matinal com Duke e tive uma idéia louca. Essa é para todos os fãs do Incubus de fora dos Estados Unidos.

Se o Incubus fizesse um show "privado" em Los Angeles ou qualquer outro lugar, e tudo que você precisaria seria chegar em Los Angeles e mostrar seu passaporte, alguém apareceria?"

Just got back from mi caminata de mañana con el Dukester and I had a wacky idea. This one is for all our Incubus fans outside the US. If Incubus were to play a 'private' show here in LA or thereabouts and all you needed to do was find your way to LA and show your passport, would anybody actually show up?

Novidades sobre o CD

Steve divulgou novidades sobre o cd:

A banda voltará ao estúdio para as gravações finais e adicionar umas 4 ou 5 músicas. A especulação é que o álbum estará pronto PROVAVELMENTE em meados de março. Se for assim, é possível que em maio possamos ouvir alguma música no rádio.
Sobre turnê, os planos são para que comece em julho, mas podem fazer 1 ou 2 shows antes.
Ele acha que no começo da turnê, a banda irá tocar mais fora dos Estados Unidos, mas vão ter shows nos Estados Unidos, provavelmente em locais que a banda não tocou há um tempo.


Em relação a data de lançamento do cd, ainda não sabe ainda. A banda tocou algumas músicas em Los Angeles para a cúpula da Sony durante a semana do Grammy e o processo para decidir isso está em movimento. Há possibilidade de ser lançado no começo ou fim do verão americano, depende de quantos singles serão lançados antes.

Diante disso, é certo que a banda irá tocar ao vivo denovo e eles terão algumas canções novas:

Note from Steve:

Ok. Here's a little bit of info. The guys go back into the studio for what I think will be the final recording sessions to put 4 or 5 additional songs. My GUESS is that the album will be done done by mid March. If that's the case I think it's likely that we could be hearing some new music on the radio by May. As far as touring goes, I think that it's likely the guys would be playing live shows starting in July although they might play a show or 2 before that. I think at the start of the touring cycle the band will play internationally more than the US, but there will be dates in the States, most likely in secondary markets that the band has not played in a while.

In terms of release date, that has still not been decided at his point. The band played a few songs for the top brass at Sony during Grammy week here in LA so that decision process is in motion. Possible release dates could be early summer or late summer depending on how many singles come before the album release. That said I think it's safe to assume that once the band starts playing live again they will tee up some of the new songs .

Tour Mundial (update)

E os planos da nova turnê estão só começando. Segundo as informações do Steve Rennie, a turnê começará dia 30 de julho no Fuji Rock Festival no Japão. Além desse show também existirão outros shows nesse lado banhado pelo Oceano Pacífico (que abrange além da Ásia, América do Norte e América do Sul) que serão anunciados quando forem confirmados. 
Para os Estados Unidos, os planos são de tocar para locais não tão conhecidos. Para Europa, locais inesperados durante o verão. 
Além entre perguntas e respostas no Facebook, alguns lugares prováveis como Venezuela, Costa Rica. 


E ficamos aguardando o Brasil na lista.

The bands touring plans are far just starting to come together. As of today we have one confirmed show, at Summersonic Festival in Japan on July 30th w Coldplay amongst others. I think if you live in that Pacific Rim area I think it's reasonable to assume that Japan will not be the only show the band would play in the region. There will be others and we will announce those as they are confirmed. In addition to the Pacific Rim, I think it's very likely that the band's fans in Europe will get ac chance to see the band this summer in some venues that they might not have expected. And finally, for the band's fans in the US who don't live in major metro areas I think you will have an opportunity to see the band in your hometowns in 2011. It's early days but I've been spending alot of time lately looking at that calendar anticipating the start of a new album cycle. We will keep you posted. thanks to all the Incubus fans around the world. The band is looking forward to seeing you soon.
