Incubus se apresenta no Music Awards da EMA

Na quarta-feira (24.10), a banda ganhou o prêmio "Mission in Music" da Environmental Media Association, por sua dedicação à preservação do meio-ambiente através da Make Yourself Foundation. A premiação será transmitida pela E! Entertainment Television e pela BBC Internacional dia 7 de novembro. Segundo o empresário da banda, Steve Rennie, a apresentação conta com um discurso bem engraçado feito pelo Brandon ao aceitar o prêmio.

"This past Wednesday the Incubus guys were honored with the Missions in Music Award by the Environmental Media Association at their annual awards show which will be broadcast on the E Television Network on Nov 7th. Great and funny acceptance speech by Brandon." (Steve Rennie - Incubus manager)

Enquanto 2.960 pessoas curtiam o Incubus no Citibank Hall de São Paulo no último domingo, 40 fãs de Curitiba passavam por momentos de agonia dentro de um ônibus, perdidos na cidade de São Paulo. O texto a seguir foi copiado do site do jornal de Curitiba Gazeta do Povo:

Show de frustração

Um grupo de fãs curitibanos da banda norte-americana Incubus está revoltado com a empresa de ônibus Trilhas & Milhas, contratada para levá-lo a São Paulo no último domingo para assistir à apresentação, no Citibank Hall. A excursão, que, segundo alguns dos 40 passageiros, deveria sair da frente do Palácio Iguaçu às 9 horas, partiu por volta das 10 horas porque o ônibus chegou ao local com quase meia hora de atraso, apesar da pontualidade dos viajantes.

Mas o que mais deixou o grupo irritado foi o fato de, chegando a São Paulo e a 1 hora e 45 minutos do início do show, o motorista se mostrar completamente perdido. Depois de muito perguntar e se bater, conseguiu que um carro o guiasse até a casa de espetáculos. Resultado: o show já estava na metade. Terminada a apresentação, todos embarcaram de volta na maior frustração por que haviam comprado os ingressos em maio e e fechado o contrato em julho.

While 2,960 people were enjoying Incubus at Citibank Hall in Sao Paulo last Sunday, 40 fans from Curitiba were having some agonyzing moments inside a bus, lost in the city of Sao Paulo. The following text was copied from the site of Curitiba's newspaper, Gazeta do Povo:

A disappointment show

A group of Incubus' fans from Curitiba is angry with bus company Trilhas & Milhas, hired to take them to Sao Paulo last Sunday to watch the band's concert, at Citibank Hall. The travel, that according to some of the 40 tourists, should begin at 9am, in front of Palacio Iguaçu, left the place around 10am, because the bus arrived almost half an hour late, despite the passengers were there on time.

But what made the fans angrier was the fact that, arriving in Sao Paulo 1 hour and 45 minutes before the beginning of the show, the driver got completely lost. After a lot of asking and wandering around, he got to follow a car to the venue. But at that time, half of the concert had already happened. After the end of the show, everybody went back to the bus really frustrated, because they had bought the tickets in may and hired the tourism company in july.
