Update do Incubus HQ

Feliz Ano Novo Incubus World Headquarters!

Com 2012 andando e passadas as festas de fim de ano, é hora de voltar ao rock. Apesar do esforço da banda no fim de 2011, as doenças que causaram cancelamentos na Europa e também a apresentação no KROQ Almost Acoustic em Los Angeles, todos (especialmente Mike) estão se sentindo muito bem, tanto que gravaram algumas mensagens para os fãs, que foram compartilhadas durante o "Morning Briefing Holiday Special" com Steve. Para aqueles que perderam, ele foi gravado e pode ser visto aqui. Tem mensagens dos membros da banda, e foi durante o Morning Briefing que eles deram um 'presente de natal' para os fãs, o vídeo de 'The Original', dirigido por Brantley Gutierrez.

O iTunes ainda está oferecendo a coleção do Incubus. Um pacote com todos os álbuns de estúdio, a preços razoáveis, um grande negócio para os fãs mais recentes que querem recuperar o atraso de todas as músicas, ao longo desses anos.

O mundo online está mudando pouco a pouco para os fãs do Incubus. Jose oficialmente aderiu ao twitter (@JoseAPasillasII) e o chat do Incubus HQ foi convertido para um novo formato, que deve permitir que os usuários de celulares (principalmente iPhones ou outros produtos da Apple) possam usar o chat.

Além disso, o Incubus anunciou mais dois shows em dezembro. Eles estarão no Rock in Rio Madri junto com o Red Hot Chili Peppers e deadmau5. Mais informações aqui. Também estarão no festival de três dias Bamboozle em Asbury Park, Nova Jersey com Bon Jovi, Blink 182, Foo Fighters e outros. O Festival será de 18/5 a 20/5 de 2012, os ingressos já estão à venda. Como sempre, 2012 promete ser um ano bom. Em duas semanas a banda voltará aos palcos em Tóquio para o primeiro show do ano. Fique ligado! Há sempre algo ao virar a esquina.

Happy New Year, Incubus World Headquarters!

With 2012 firmly underway and the holidays passed by, it's time to start getting back down to the business of rock. Although the band struggled through some periods of illness at the end of 2011, causing cancellations in Europe as well as the cancellation of their scheduled appearance at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas in Los Angeles, everyone--especially Mike--is feeling much better, and in fact felt well enough to take some time out to record a few messages for the fans that were shared during the "Morning Briefing Holiday Special" with Renman. For those of you who missed the Christmas Eve "Morning" Briefing, it was recorded for posterity on the Livestream, and can be watched right here. There are messages from every member of the band, and it was during this Livestream event that they attempted to share their Christmas Present to their fans, the video for The Original, directed by Brantley Gutierrez. iTunes is still offering The Collection: Incubus, which constitutes all the band's studio albums in one easy, reasonably priced bundle, which remains a great deal for any fans who are new to the scene and need to catch up on all the great music Incubus has been putting out over the years.

The online world is changing bit-by-bit for the better for Incubus fans, too; Jose has officially joined Twitter (find him at @JoseAPasillasII) and the Incubus World Headquarters' chatroom has recently been converted to a format which should allow mobile users--especially those who use iPhones or other Apple products--to use the chatroom on the fly.

In addition, Incubus announced two more shows in December; they will be playing Rock in Rio Madrid on July 7th, 2012 along with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and deadmau5. The official Rock in Rio website is here and should include all ticketing information for the Festival here. Incubus will also be performing during the three-day Bamboozle Festival at Asbury Park in New Jersey with Bon Jovi, Blink 182, the Foo Fighters, and others. The Festival will run from May 18th - May 20th 2012, and 3-day wristbands are already on sale. For those of you who cannot afford all three days of this epic rock extravaganza, never fear, there will be single-day wristbands on sale when the full lineups are released. As always, 2012 promises to be a good year. In two weeks the band will be back in action in Tokyo, Japan for their first concert of the year at Studio Coast. Stay tuned! There is always something just around the corner.

Update do Incubus HQ

Ser de uma banda de rock não é só diversão, brincadeiras e música boa.Também é trabalho duro e às vezes isso tem seu preço, mesmo para os melhores. Infelizmente ao longo das últimas duas semanas, alguns integrantes do Incubus têm brigado contra várias doenças e isso fez com que a banda cancelasse o resto da turnê Européia, resultando em 6 shows cancelados (Glasgow, Munique, Viena, Amsterdam, Esch-sur-Alzette e Frankfurt). Embora a banda e sua equipe continuam muito chateados com esses cancelamentos, eles foram necessários, como Brandon disse: "Rock'n'roll pode escavar a sua vida, mas pode também lhe dar laringite". A banda espera fazer esses shows em 2012.

Dezembro vai ser um período calmo para a banda, para que eles possam descansar um pouco, passar um tempo com suas famílias e amigos. Eles ainda vão tocar uma vez antes de voltarem para a turnê na Orla do Pacífico em 24/01. Próximo sábado (10/12), eles irão se apresentar no KROQ Almost Acoustic X-Mas (na noite 1) e os ingressos estão esgotados! Para os que moram nas redondezas de Los Angeles, esses dias ainda existe alguma chance de ganhar alguns ingressos e ver o Incubus e bandas como Bush, 311, Social Distortion, Young the Giant, Chevelle e Blink-182. Mais informações aqui.

Dezembro será calmo para a banda e sua equipe, enquanto eles se recuperam e preparam para a próxima parte da turnê em janeiro. Mas novidades sobre o Incubus podem surgir a qualquer momento, portanto, fiquem atentos!

Update for November 23rd - December 7th

It turns out that being in a rock band isn't all fun and games and awesome music (although there is quite a bit of that as well). Being in a rock band is also quite a bit of hard work, and sometimes that takes its toll on even the best of them. Unfortunately over the past two weeks, the members of Incubus have been battling various illnesses which made it necessary for the band to cancel the remainder of their European tour, bringing the amount of cancelled dates up to six (Glasgow, Munich, Vienna, Amsterdam, Esch-sur-Alzette and Frankfurt). Although the band and their team remain very regretful that such cancellations were necessary, as Brandon himself said, "Rock'n'roll can cave your life, but it can also give you laryngitis." The band expects to be able to make up the missed dates some time in 2012.

Although December remains largely a period of downtime for the band so that they can get some much-needed rest and time with their families and friends, Incubus still has a little activity on the horizon before they return to the Pacific Rim on January 24th. This coming Saturday, December 10th, the band will be performing at the KROQ Almost Acoustic X-Mas (night one), and as mentioned before tickets are sold out! The last few days of this week are the last chances for Los Angeles natives to win some tickets from KROQ to see the guys alongside Bush, 311, Social Distortion, Young the Giant, Chevelle and Blink-182. On December 15th, Brandon will be taking some time to visit the Museum of Monterey, where his artwork has been on display as part of the Museum's 'Flows To Bay' exhibit on plastic pollution. A special event will be taking place at the museum with Brandon himself, from 6-8pm. December should be a quiet time for the band and their team, as they recouperate and gear up for the next leg of the tour in January, but more Incubus-related content and fun may always be just around the corner, so stay tuned!

Já faz um tempo desde a última atualização daqui do Incubus HQ, mas não tenham medo Incufans: Você não foi esquecido! As coisas andam corridas ao longo desses últimos meses, com a primeira parte da turnê nos Estados Unidos e nessas próximas semanas finalizarão a parte Europeia.

Infelizmente, por conflitos de agenda e de doenças na banda, o Incubus foi forçado a adiar ou cancelar alguns de seus shows na Europa. O show de Glasgow no dia 11/11, o de Munique em 22/11  e Viena 23/11 foram adiados ou cancelados, em Munique e Viena será oferecido reembolso total do valor dos ingressos através do local de compra.

As melhores notícias, a banda anunciou que vai tocar no Silverlake Music Festival, na Tailândia, em janeiro, assim como as datas já anunciadas no Japão, Austrália e Nova Zelândia. Mais recentemente, eles anunciaram que tocarão também no KROQ Almost Acoustic XMas (Noite 1) em Los Angeles com outras bandas: 311, Bush, Chevelle, New Found Glory, Social Distortion, Young the Giant e Blink-182. O KROQ Almost Acoustic XMas é vendido por ambas as noites, mas quem mora em Los Angeles, ou perto, pode tentar ganhar os ingressos no site da KROQ.

Devido um imprevisto com o satélite (ao que parece o clima do sudeste dos Estados Unidos não foi gentil) - Francisco Stiglich não conseguiu continuar as transmissões de pré-show pelo Livestream do Incubus. Mas, ele está filmando os bastidores enquanto viaja com eles. A maioria dos videos podem ser encontrados no YouTube da banda ou do Cisco. Lá tem coisas como Mike tocando baixo de 'Speak Free', a banda tocando Surface to Air em uma das passagens de som e além disso o Livestream que está funcionando, periodicamente com pedidos dos fãs dos seus arquivos de mais de 500 gravações ao vivo, entrevistas e extras.

O Incubus também tem feito entrevistas à medida que andam por toda a Europa, muitas podem ser encontrados na parte de notícias do HQ. (Também postamos aqui no blog)

Apésar de estar lutando contra laringite e longe de casa, o Incubus ainda está forte. Com um pouco de descanso e um pouco de sorte, eles poderão terminar a turnê européia com toda energia que eles já mostrada nos shows deste ano. Obrigado a todos vocês por seu amor e apoio contínuos!

It's been some time since the last update from here at Incubus HQ, but never fear, Incufans: You haven't been forgotten. Things have been very busy for the band over the last few months, with the wrap-up of the first leg of their United States Tour and a bare few weeks' rest before Incubus went right back to the grindstone with the European leg. Unfortunately, between scheduling conflicts and illnesses in the band--touring is hard work!--Incubus has been forced to postpone or cancel a handful of their concerts on the European leg. The Glasgow date on 11/11, the Munich Date on 11/22 and the Vienna Date on 11/23 were all either postponed or cancelled; the Munich and Vienna dates are offering full refunds on ticket prices through the point of purchase. In better news, however, the band has announced that they will be playing the Silverlake Music Festival in Thailand in January, as well as announced dates in Japan, Australia and New Zealand. More recently they have announced that they will be playing the KROQ Almost Acoustic XMas (Night 1) in Los Angeles with 311, Bush, Chevelle, New Found Glory, Social Distortion, Young the Giant and Blink-182. The Almost Acoustic XMas is sold out for both nights, but residents in and near to Los Angeles can try to win tickets from KROQ's site.  Information about the band's upcoming Tourdates can be found here. Due to an unforeseen complication with the satellite backpack--it turns out the weather of the southeastern United States was not kind to it--Francisco Stiglich has been unable to continue the pre-show broadcasts on the Incubus Livestream. However, he has been filming behind-the-scenes gems from the guys as he tours with them. Most of them can be found either on his YouTube account or the band's account, and include things like Mike running through the bass riff of Speak Free and Incubus practicing Surface to Air at one of their soundchecks here. Cisco's YouTube is here while the official band YouTube can be found here addition the Livestream is still up and running, with periodic fan takeovers and request nights for its massive video archive of over five hundred live recordings, interviews, and extras. Incubus has remained active with interviews as they progress across Europe, many of which can be found on HQ's news aggregate, here. Although struggling through the perils of laryngitis and being far from home, Incubus is still going strong. With a little rest and a little luck, they'll be able to finish out their European tour with all the face-melting energy they've delivered at the shows they've already played this year.
