Em 12 de julho, o Incubus vai lançar seu grande álbum, "If Not Now, When?" o quinto disco da banda californiana, de platina, que promete oferecer canções sofisticadas e energéticas que temos esperado.
O grupo gravou o álbum no Blackbird Studios em Nashville e Henson Studios, em Los Angeles com o produtor Brendan O'Brien (Stone Temple Pilots, Bruce Springsteen). Os três álbuns anteriores do Incubus também foram produzidos pelo legendário O'Brien. O vocalista Brandon Boyd falou sobre a inspiração de 'Promises, Promises':

Referenciando os artistas merecidamente onipresentes da geração dos nossos pais, nós estamos aqui tentando trabalhar como artesão de relógio. Uma pedaço de carrapatos, com força e bom design, beleza e sua simplicidade. Nisto uma moça, depois de tantas tentativas falhas de amor, renunciou-se a um"caminho de menor resistência.
Armou-se contra a dor da intimidade apenas por envolvimento em assuntos superficiais. Apenas para encontrar alguém que ela pode confiar, com o mais valioso dos bens, seu coração. Mas ela mal pode reconhecer o que isso é na verdade, depois de tanto tempo fugindo disso".

On July 12th, Incubus will be releasing their highly anticipated album, 'If Not Now, When?' Incubus vocalist Brandon Boyd told Noisecreep about the inspiration behind 'Promises, Promises.':
"The song is our homage to the pop songs of yester-morrow. Referencing the deservedly ubiquitous artists of our parents' generation, we are here attempting to craft an artisan's clock. A piece that ticks effortlessly on the strength of its good design, its beauty and its simplicity. Herein a young girl, after so many failed attempts at love, has resigned herself to a "road of least resistance."
Armoring herself against the pain of intimacy by only engaging in surface affairs. Only to meet someone who she CAN trust with her most valued of possessions, her heart. But she can barely recognize what the real thing looks like after so much time running away from it."
'If Not Now, When?' will be released July 12th via Epic Records.
